We also offer more variety across our menu, offering a wide range of beef, chicken, fish and vegetarian options, combined with different portion sizes. Our products are made-to-order and prepared using carefully selected ingredients, more than 90% of which are sourced from Europe. We remain in ongoing dialogue with experts, suppliers and partners to further strengthen our role within a balanced food environment.

McDonald’s behind the scenes

At McDonald’s Belgium, quality always comes first, and it starts behind the scenes. Every day, thousands of employees work together to ensure our restaurants meet strict standards for hygiene, food safety and efficiency. All of this is aimed at providing our customers with a safe and enjoyable dining experience.

Food safety is the foundation of everything we do. Each restaurant follows a rigorous quality and hygiene policy, covering everything from regular hand hygiene and temperature checks to strict compliance with the cold chain. Managers monitor dozens of control points on a daily basis. In addition, independent laboratories carry out product sampling and analysis twice a year, along with a full food safety audit in every restaurant.

Our kitchens are also designed with food safety and efficiency in mind. Raw and prepared foods are kept strictly separate, and ingredients are stored and prepared according to clear temperature guidelines. Sensors continuously monitor our refrigerators and freezers, allowing any deviations to be addressed immediately.
